Every Tuesday morning, Wasaga Beach Public Library hosts drum circle for members of the community who hold valid Wasaga Beach Public Library cards. The event, spearheaded and run by Lesley Joosten Forbes, began four years ago as a small group that gathered on the beach. The community of eight soon grew, and when Lesley was invited to host her circle at the library, she jumped at the chance. Now, her circle welcomes up to 25 participants each week, and is comprised of Beach locals as well as members of surrounding communities.
To participate, drummers must hold a valid Wasaga library card. Drummers may bring their own instruments or borrow from the rental gear supplied by the library. The event runs from 11am-12pm on Tuesdays. For more information, visit https://wasagabeachpubliclibrary.ca/events/
