BrightSide Deli in Collingwood hosted local families for a special Gingerbread House Workshop. The event ran from 3:30pm-5pm on Sunday, December 22nd, and all 30 spots were filled. Deli co-owners Derek Muscat and Jenni Booth say they are thrilled by the positive response and will be making this an annual event moving forward.
Along with all of the icing, candy, and treats required to create their dream gingerbread house, participants received hot chocolate, and the deli was also open for guests to purchase other drinks, baked goods, and food. The highlight of the event was a surprise visit from Santa, who ensured he spoke to every guest about their Christmas wishes. He then led the group in a festive singalong before carrying on his merry way.
