South Georgian Bay is renowned for is extensive trail networks that invite residents and visitors alike to keep active in the great outdoors. To help encourage this active lifestyle while also showcasing some of the area’s talented musicians, the towns of Collingwood, Stayner, and Wasaga Beach unite each year for Trail Tunes.
The festival encourages people to either cycle or walk over 100 kilometres of available trails that connect the participating communities. These trails converge at central performances spaces in each of the towns that feature an impressive lineup of musicians, giving participants the opportunity to rest and enjoy live music before carrying on their journeys. Trail Tunes has been recognized at a Top 100 Festival in Ontario, and it supports each community’s mission to foster healthy, active living.
The event continues to grow each year, with between two and three hundred people expected to pass through over the course of the day. For more information, visit https://cyclesimcoe.ca/trailtunes/
