Founded in 2021, The Blue Mountain Film Festival grows in both scope and popularity with each passing year. In 2025, the festival features international sensations, Canadian premieres, and special outdoor screenings free to anyone visiting the Village.
When curating this year’s selection, Director of Programming Jason Gorber sought out films that complemented each other through either thematic or creative direction, along with choosing pieces that would appeal to the local audience. In the end, he hopes his roster will serve as a “2025 Playlist” for audiences.
In addition to the screenings, the Festival includes opportunities for audiences to engage with filmmakers and creative teams through Q&As, red carpet events, and afterparties. Through fostering audience engagement, the goal is to keep the Festival audience-focused while culturally enriching South Georgian Bay in the shoulder season.
