The Western Ontario Darts Association (WODA) unites dart players from across the province, and Simcoe County has one of the largest and strongest communities of players. WODA is in the midst of running its zone tournaments in different locations, and players are competing for the chance to play on the Western Ontario team and, for a select few, head to the national finals.
Simcoe County is part of Zone 9, the largest of the WODA regions. Players are able to compete in either mixed doubles, and mens or ladies singles. The players range in experience level, with some breaking out of their house leagues for the first time, and others defending their titles as provincial and national champions.
The provincial finals are slated for April and will he held in St. Catherine’s. For more information on WODA, visit https://www.westernontariodarts.ca/adult-program/online-registrations/
