Meaford is rife with talented, tenacious, and successful women in business, and the Culture Foundation is committed to amplifying their voices and uniting the community. For the third year in a row, the Meaford Culture Foundation hosted its International Women’s Day event, featuring a women-owned business marketplace, a speaker series, entertainment from the Meaford Kazoo band, and the opportunity to mix and mingle.
This year, the celebration doubled at a fundraiser for the Meaford Hospital Foundation, and with the event organized, run, and sponsored by local women, the initiative was a true testament to the critical role women play in driving the town’s economy.
The event ran in the afternoon on March 7th at Meaford Hall. Over 120 people; the majority of whom were women, attended, a long with a variety of local vendors and the four invited speakers.
