Beer & Books is a series that has been running for the past six years in joint effort between Curiosity House Books and Creemore Springs Brewery. The event encourages readers from across the region to come together for readings and open discussions with renowned authors and novelists. The spring series kicked off with acclaimed writer Claire Cameron whose latest memoir How to Survive a Bear Attack has been circulating the best seller lists nationwide.
The Toronto-based writer has participated in the series before and remarked on how dynamic and supportive the literary community within South Georigan Bay is, citing Curiosity House Books as one of her most loyal supporters throughout her career. Rina Barone, the shop owner, is highly selective of the authors she invites to Beer & Books, and continues to welcome Cameron not only because of the success and love of her work among local readers, but also because the event demands high energy, engaging authors who can keep up with with the spirited audiences.
Beer & Books runs seasonally at the brewery, and the event continues to grow in popularity. The most recent instalment sold out, with visitors coming from as far as Orangeville and Stratford to participate. For more information on upcoming sessions, visit https://www.curiosityhousebooks.com/
