Adarsh Krishna and his business partner spotted an opportunity to add more play and enrich the community in Meaford. Together, the have launched Charged Sports; a pickleball club with room to grow.
When Krishna’s partner purchased the former school on Eliza Street, he harnessed a vision. Changed Sports is starting small with four pickleball courts available for rentals, but there are big plans to make this building an epicentre of recreation for the community.
Currently, the building is already home to the Georgian Bay Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school, and with Charged opening its pickleball courts, the space is primed to become a hub for community sports and recreation. Eventually, the Charged Sports team plans to open a snack bar and sports bar to keep community members engaged and entertained outside of playtime.
Charged Sports is soft launching from January 15th-25th, and welcomes anyone interested in visiting the space and playing on the new courts to play for free during this time. The official opening is slated for January 26th, at which point players will be able to join the club officially and reserve courts for a fee.
