One of the manor highlights of the annual Sunnidale Winterama is the Snowmobile Show. Visitors from near and far gather to learn about snowmobile history, take vintage skidoos for test rides, and compete in the various friendly competitions.
This year, the event featured a stunning array of sled models spanning decades, a loud pipes competition, and the Snowdeo obstacle course which challenged competitor skill through tight turns and log towing. Participants and spectators alike revelled in the love of winter, and the chance to both see and ride vintage sleds drew I’m steady crowds throughout the day.
Winterama has been running in New Lowell for 50 years, and it remains a beloved festival by both residents and visitors. The festival runs on the first weekend of February and includes community meals, baking contests, a variety of shows and demonstrations, a parade, and family friendly activities.
