The Wasaga Midway is a longstanding town tradition that ushers thousands of residents and tourists to Playland Park each year. With its collection of rides, games, foods and entertainment, The Midway breathes new life into the main beach at the peak of summer.

This year, The Midway is poised for even greater success since the main beach strip has been almost entirely shut down due to redevelopment. Residents and returning visitors remarked on how important The Midway is to the community, especially now that the familiar beach shops and restaurants have been demolished. While a handful of businesses still remain open during the construction, The Midway gives beachgoers a fun, family friendly destination while they are taking in the sights and sounds of the beachfront.
