stay wild my child

A new photography exhibition opened at Stonebridge Art Gallery, featuring a collection of imaginative, thoughtful, and provocative work from Italian-born photographer Rubina W. Paradisi.
The exhibition is titled “stay wild my child”, and Paradisi cites an exploration of key concepts from her early youth that provided the inspiration. Firstly, her work explores the many facets and multitudes of love first felt as a young teenager, and secondly, it highlights her relationship with herself and being at peace in one’s own company. Paradisi is also heavily inspired by, and supportive of, Indigenous communities and Indigenous art, and many of her creations pay homage to the tribes and bands she has visited over the years.
The exhibition runs until April 26th. The Stonebridge Art Gallery is open from 1pm-4pm weekly from Thursday-Saturday. For more information, visit https://www.wasagasocietyforthearts.ca/
