Maple Syrup Festival

The Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival has been running on the last Saturday of April for every year since 1966, attracting scores of vendors and visitors alike to join in the festivities. This year, the festival was event larger, with roughly 200 vendors and between 30-40 000 visitors flocking to the town for shopping, tastings, pancake eating contests, and of course, the legendary pancake breakfast held at the Community Hall.
The Maple Syrup Festival is run by dedicated groups of volunteers from Elmvale-based organizations like the local food bank and the library, and all proceeds raised are poured directly back into those participating organizations. For this reason, the entire festival is an extraordinary economic driver that directly benefits community projects like school music programs, library activities, and other critical ancillary supports throughout the town.
The highlight of the festival is the extensive array of maple syrup vendors who are all eager to share their products with syrup lovers. Maple farmers from near and far attend the festival every year ready to provide samples, create new relationships, and of course, sell their syrup.
