Kindness Festival

When Nicole Hambleton was teaching empathy to schoolchildren, she noticed the lack of emphasis on self-care, self-love, and self-compassion. As someone who struggled at times with extending these graces to herself, she dreamt of one day creating a space dedicated to helping people cultivate these important skills and feelings for themselves. After years of planning, the inaugural Kindness Festival was held in Creemore and featured vendors, facilitators and practitioners, and plenty of activities dedicated to getting people in touch with their own selves.
The family friendly event featured music, interactive sessions like yoga and meditation, and hands-on art making stations. The festival attracted a wide array of visitors interested in learning about holistic healing, spirituality, and non-traditional medicine. The Kindness Festival is part of a larger health and wellness initiative running over the course of the weekend in downtown Creemore.
