Easter Eggstravaganza is a family friendly festive celebration that draws thousands of visitors from Wasaga Beach and surrounding areas each year. Highlights of this year’s event were the outdoor Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, activities like bouncy castles, bingo, and colouring contests, visits from face painting, hair tinsel, and caricature artists, and the Easter market featuring a variety of local vendors. While the event is primarily designed to unite families and kick off the holidays weekend, an other goal is to amplify local businesses. Not only was the market an opportunity to do so, but all of the prizes being awarded to winners of the colouring contest and bingo were sourced locally as well.

The event attracted record numbers of people to the point where indoor spaces were so heavily crowded that families chose to spend time in the park adjacent to the RecPlex rather that brave the lines for some of the more popular attractions.
