The Collingwood Environment Awards, presented by volunteer organization Keep Collingwood Clean in partnership with the Town of Collingwood, recognize community members and organizations that are making a positive impact on recycling, composting, waste reduction, and other sustainability initiatives that benefit the community and the environment at large. This year, the recipients were Pilkington Glass of Canada for its efforts to curb cigarette butt littering and improve its glass recycling, and Simcoe Housing for its commitment to cleanliness and proper waste management practices throughout its Collingwood residences.

The awards are designed not only to recognize positive work and meaningful contributions to keeping the community clean, but to provide other businesses and organizations with inspiration to champion improvement measures of their own.
