2025 Mayor’s Levee

Each year, the Town of Collingwood and its council host the Mayor’s Levee; a celebration of the Town’s accomplishments in the previous year, along with the annual Order of Collingwood presentations.
Hosted by Mayor Hamlin, the event featured four award recipients as well as one companion to the Order of Collingwood recipient, staff and dignitaries from both municipal and provincial offices and Dean Hollin as emcee.
This year, the Order of Collingwood was awarded to Naomi Paterson for her tireless efforts with the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club, Murray Knowles for his work with the Collingwood Trails & Transportation Advisory Committee, Hella Sandberg for her diligent stewardship of Theatre Collingwood’s history and contributions to the arts community, and Dr. John Miller for his formidable efforts to foster diversity and inclusion through the Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay. The companion to the Order of Collingwood was awarded by the Lifesaving Society to Derek Crespy for his heroic efforts in rescuing a drowning boy from the Bay last August.
Along with the award presentations, attendees had the chance to mingle with members of council and town staff, listen to a recitation from Collingwood’s Poet Laureate, and watch a video that both highlighted the Town’s major accomplishments throughout 2024 and shared plans and goals for 2025.
