The Hottest Street Sale invites hundreds of vendors, artists, and entertainers to take over the River District and promote local businesses. Not only are bricks-and-mortar shops open to visitors, but an impressive number of street vendors are also invited to pitch their tents and sell their wares. Thousands of local residents and visitors alike flood the downtown for their chances to snag great deals and walk home with unique, one-of-a-kind finds on everything from clothing to toys to trinkets and collectibles.
The Hottest Street Sale serves to not only make the Owen Sound downtown more vibrant, but to bolster the economy as the summer ramps up. Visitors remark on the sheer number of shops and vendors open along the street and appreciate the immense variety of products, services, and installations that are present over the course of the day.
The event also features live entertainment from a variety of artists, musicians, and performers including the local brass band, youth theatre troupes, circus performers, and gymnasts.
