Community spirit is thriving at Wasaga Barber Shop. The bustling hairdressing hub has been in operation since 1996, and shop owner Suzie Bartella does everything she can to honour the legacy of her late father who founded the business.
Since its opening, Wasaga Barber Shop has celebrated each of its anniversaries with a cut-a-thon fundraiser to both commemorate an other successful year in business and to give back to the local community.
With its strong, loyal customer base, these annual fundraisers are historically very successful, with between 80-100 people dropping by for haircut services. This year, the minimum donation was $20, with 100% of proceeds all going directly to My Friend’s House to support their mission to protect women and children experiencing domestic violence.
