Family Day weekend at the Beach was full of activities and events as part of Snowman Mania. One of the highlights was the annual chili cook-off, which pits local businesses and organizations against one another for bragging rights and the prestigious title of Best Chili.
This year, the event featured Match Restaurant, Wasaga Pizza, Nonna’s, Boston Pizza, and the longstanding crowd favourite, the Wasaga Beach Fire Department.
Visitors could choose between individual bowls of chili or samples of four, and they we’re encouraged to cast their votes to crown this year’s winner. While all of the chilis were unique and hearty in their own ways, several visitors expressed that the Fire Department and Boston Pizza were the standouts of the day.
