Recently retired after 25 years as an elementary school teacher, Elizabeth Retter took her love of children’s books into her own "next chapter" as an author. Her first published book “The Dog in The Deli” is inspired by Retter's rescue dog. Retter is hoping this book will bring awareness to animal rescue around the world. The book is the first in a series she plans to release.
