The L.E. Shore Memorial Library in Clarksburg regularly hosts art exhibits, book talks, and other cultural events that provide local creators with the opportunity to showcase their work. The first exhibit of the year opened January 4th, and it features two artists sharing the gallery space.
Adele Derkowski has an eye for close up, detailed portraiture and still life. Her part of the exhibit features a variety of paintings that explore life in small scale, with an emphasis on the interplay between light and shadow.
In contrast, landscape artists Paul G. Russell’s portion of the show features expansive, larger than life paintings that highlight the sheer size and scope of the natural world.
The exhibit runs until January 29th and is free to visit during library hours.
